Hazel appears in the first installment of the Levi & the Emerald Vampire series, "The Mystery of the Water Treasure." Hazel travels with Levi & Zoe back in time to find out what happened to her brother Finn. Hazel is also known as Sapphire, the Blue Owlet. Sapphire, known as the "wisdom stone," represents clear thinking. In the past, sapphires were a source of protection for travelers and brought peace and wisdom to their bearers. The Blue Owlet assists Levi and the Emerald Vampire with time travel by appearing near their portals for entry and departure.
